What ages does Camp Muskoka accept?
Camp Muskoka welcomes children ages 6–16 across its programs. Overnight Camp and Explorer Camp are open to ages 6–16, the Leader in Training (LIT) program is designed for teens ages 14–16, and Day Camp serves children ages 6–12.
What camp options are available — does my child have to stay overnight?
Not at all! Camp Muskoka offers several formats to suit your child's comfort level. Overnight Camp runs for one week, Explorer Camp is a shorter 4-day introduction for kids curious about overnight camp, and Day Camp offers Monday-to-Friday programming for those who prefer to head home each evening.
How do you ensure my child's safety?
Safety is Camp Muskoka's top priority. All staff undergo a police record check, a full week of pre-camp training, and ongoing health and safety education. Every staff member holds current First Aid and CPR certification, and activity specialists — such as lifeguards, rock climbing instructors, and aerial park guides — carry the certifications specific to their discipline. On-site healthcare is available 24/7.
What is the staff-to-camper ratio?
Camp Muskoka maintains a 4:1 camper-to-counsellor ratio during overnight camp. Camp Muskoka Day Camp maintains a 8:1 camper-to-counsellor ratio.
What activities are available at camp?
Camp Muskoka offers over 50 activities for campers to choose from, spanning waterfront activities, sports, arts, adventure programming, and more. Campers choose their programming daily, which encourages independence and exploration.
How does Camp Muskoka handle food allergies and dietary needs?
The dining program at Camp Muskoka is nut-safe. Camp Muskoka prides itself on offering a variety of delicious and nutritious food options. When does the 2026 summer season start, and how do I register?
The 2026 season kicks off June 28th and features 8 sessions. Registration is handled online through Camp Muskoka's registration portal.
